The Indian Chai - Bai Mudan White Tea

• Also known as White Peony or Pai Mu Tan Tea, Bai Mudan is a type of white tea that is plucked from the Camellia Sinensis plant only during summers, and has its origins in China. Once brewed, this tea has a very pale apple green shade that borders on white. For people who enjoy and drink white tea regularly, Bai Mu Dan is the choice of drink due to its rich potency and flavours. While the original Chinese strain is used for many green and white teas, the Indian strain, known as the Assamica strain, is used for strong black teas.

• Bai Mudan White Tea

• Put 1 teaspoon (2 gram) of tea leaves in a cup. Pour boiling water into the cup. Cover the cup and let it steep for three to four minutes. Strain and serve. Preferred without milk.
